CURRENT ART EVENTS: "Stuff I Found Along The Way," a solo exhibit of found object assemblages, opening at Virtu on First Friday, May 2nd. Artist's Reception from 6 - 9p, with live musical performance by piano songstress, Liz Malys. Located at 400 West 4th Avenue, Anchorage, (4th and D, around the corner from International Gallery of Contemporary Art). (907) 258 4788. Show runs through May31. WORKSHOPS: "Painting with Encaustics." I am teaching one day Introductory and Advanced workshops on this fun and easy technique of painting with vibrantly colored melted bees wax. May intro classes on Sundays, the 4th, 18th, and 25th, 10a - 3p. Please email if you'd like to register or receive more info.
