EXHIBITIONS: See Home Page for Current Exhibitions and Art Events ANNOUNCEMENTS: 2008 Alaska State Council on the Arts Career Opportunity Grant. This funding from the Alaska State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts will support in part the shipping and framing expenses for my 2009 exhibition at The Attic Gallery in Portland, Oregon. THE ARTIST'S MAGAZINE ONLINE ARTIST OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER 2008. Check it out. This honor came about after I was selected as a finalist, in The Artist's Magazine 24th Annual Art Competition, for the encaustic painting "Fences." Thank you to the Rasmuson Foundation for their ongoing support of local artists. I am happy to announce that I have been awarded a 2007 Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Project Award. WORKSHOPS: "Painting with Encaustics." One day workshops on this fun and easy technique of painting with vibrantly colored melted bees wax.
