Details:

Encaustic painting using melted, pigmented beeswax. Can be polished to a high gloss, textured, carved, combined with image transfers and collage, realism or abstract. Cools immediately so no drying time yet may always be reworked. No art experience necessary, easy and fun! You can expect to leave the class with two finished paintings, great for gifts!

A recent Rasmuson Individual Artist Award recipient based on her work with Encaustics, Sheary is also an International Encaustic Artists member. She is a 2007 finalist in The Artist's Magazine 24th Annual Art Competition and November 2008 online Artist of the Month, for her encaustic painting, "Fences."
